Tasteful Notes

I always had a latent interest in 3D modeling software and was fascinated by the 3D printer we had in our FabLab in Lugano were I studied Interaction Design, but it was when I had to jump into the subject by myself while working on my final project that I really realized the potential of those technologies.

I prototyped "Tasteful Notes", a multi-touchpoint service for customized, edible prints (if you are interested in the paper, you can download the PDF). In the project description I concluded: “The domains of “scanning” and “printing”, both 2D and 3D, are experiencing a tremendous development and expansion. Technologies that were confined to the professional sector are now becoming more and more accessible to the large public and special domains such as food printing are emerging. The service presented here shows some of the great potential of those new technologies, also in the domain of customization and in the exchange of objects, information and emotions among people.”

The seeds for [ digimorphé ]  were planted!
